Itinerary Highlights

Day 1 Shanghai

Arrive in  Shanghai, you will be met and transferred to hotel, overnight in Shanghai.

Day 2 Shanghai

Breakfast at hotel. Jade buddha temple,Pearl factory, the Bund and the Oriental TV Tower. Evening Hungpu River Cruise. Overnight in Shanghai


Jade Buddha temple (about 1 hour):It is the current temple draws from both the Pure Land and Chantraditions of Mahayana Buddhism.

Pearl factory (At the least45mins): It is compulsory shopping stop, you can have a chance to learn the Chinese ancient Pearl culture and buy whatever you are interested in.

The Bund (About 40mins): It is a famous place in Shanghai. It is near the Huangpu River. There are a lot of old buildings around the Bund.
 
Oriental TV tower(About 1hour but the pax may standing in the queue for the elevator about 1hr in Peak season) :Completed in 1995 to a highly innovative design, it has become a symbol of excellence in architecture and is a favourite sight for tourists in Shanghai. At 468 meters, it is the third tallest TV and radio tower in the World

Evening Hungpu River Cruise (About 1 hour): Cruising on the Huangpu River has become a must for most visitors to Shanghai.

A spectacular sight is that the two suspension bridges, Nanpu Bridge and Yangpu Bridge, appear to arch over the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, resembling 'Two dragons playing with a ball'.
The west bank (Puxi) of the Huangpu River is the cultural, residential and entertainment center of Shanghai. The Bund, Monument to the People's Heroes, Waibaidu Bridge and the oldest park in Shanghai - Huangpu Park, are located on the west bank. In addition, many historical buildings left over from Shanghai's colonial days have been preserved. The east bank of the river (Pudong) is the newer district of Shanghai and its financial and commercial hub. Steel and glass structures are abundant here. The Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Jin Mao Tower, skyscraper hotels, offices and malls of the Lujiazui Financial Zone are located on this side of the river.

Day 3 Shanghai

Breakfast at hotel, Yu Garden, Shanghai museum, Taobao Market, return way Maglev train ride. Evening Chinese Acrobatic show. Overnight in Shanghai . 

Yu Garden(About one hour):Yu Garden, located in the downtown area of Shanghai, is a classical garden. Originally built in 1559 as the private garden in the Ming Dynasty, Yu Garden has a history of more than 400 years and boasts the glory of the most beautiful garden south of the Yangtze River.

Shanghai museum(About one hour):Shanghai Museum is a famous comprehensive museum of Chinese (ancient) arts and hailed as Four Museums in China together with the ones in Beijing, Nanjing and Xi'an. Its style and exhibitions just demonstrate the ancient wisdom and philosophy of Chinese.

Taobao Market(About one hour): One favorite market the people want to go, and it is a fake market,  you can buy some goods with cheap price.

Return way Maglev train rides(about 10mins ):Travel on the magnetic train between Longyan Subway Station and Shanghai Pudong Airport. The speed can reach up to 400 km per hour
and it takes only 7 minutes to finish the 30 kms journey!

Evening Chinese Acrobatic show(About one hour): With a history of more than three thousand years, Chinese acrobatics has been praised as “A pearl of Oriental art”. When watching a Chinese acrobatics show, you will be strongly attracted both mentally and physically. The acrobatic show is combined on the base of dance and opera arts, compositions, stage design, costume, light and sound.

Day 4 Shanghai / Beijing

Take High speed bullet train to Shanghai, you will be met by our English speaking guide and transfer to hotel, Overnight in Beijing

Day 5 Beijing

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, silk factory and the Summer Palace. Overnight in Beijing. 
 
Tiananmen Square(About 40mins):  It is the largest city square in the world (440,000 m² - 880 m by 500 m), is the large plaza near the centre of Beijing.
Forbidden City (About 2 hours):It is the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of theQing Dynasty.
Silk factory (At the least 45mins): It is compulsory shopping stop, you can have a chance to learn the Chinese ancient Silk culture and buy whatever you are interested in.
Summer Palace (About 1.5hours ):  It was first built in the 12th century as an imperial palace. Renovation and extension in the following several hundred years till the end of the 19th century led it into the scale we see today, and was officially named Summer Palace.

Day 6 Shanghai

Visit the Jade factory on the way to the Great Wall at Juyongguan Pass, Explore the history of a wall built hundreds of years ago, yet which remains largely intact as it snakes endlessly across the mountain ridgelines. Then take a photo stop of Bird's Nest &Water Cube from outside. Overnight in Beijing.

Take a photo stop of Bird's Nest &Water Cube from outside (About 40mins): China's National Stadium, or the Bird's Nest, as it has become known, is the world's largest steel structure and the most complex stadium ever constructed. It is "one of the key engineering marvels in the world today.
The National Aquatics Center is situated in the Beijing Olympic Green. During the Olympic Game the swimming, diving, synchronized and waterball matches will be held here. It can hold 17,000 audiences in total. Designed in a novel style, the National Aquatics Centre has a foam-like water-molecule structure, making the architecture show a unique visual effect of water flowing and embodying the mysterious beauty; hence it is named "Water Cube" by the people. After the Olympic Games, it will become a swimming, leisure and recreation center, and a new tourist attraction left by the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
